Group 1 - Interpretation and Signage Project
This group is launching the exciting Ure Walks through Time project on May 12 (please note change of date) at 6pm in St James Square. Seven different walks have been established, each having a beautiful information board and a specially designed leaflet. The walks are marked with coloured way-markers - a different colour for each walk.
The walks are:

Devils Arrows
Roecliffe
Langthorpe
Gt Ouseburn
Lower Dunsforth
Aldwark (to be completed)
Mobile Cinema Project
This project has already been completed. With a grant from Lottery Funding Yore Vision has purchased a portable projector, sound system and screen which are available for use by organizations in the Yore Vision area of the Lower Ure Valley. Each venue wanting to show films needs to have a licence to show films. For more details please click on this link.
Group 2 - CORE/Advanced Power Site
The group is investigating the establishment of a Centre of Rural Excellence on the Advanced Power site.
Group 3 - Arts/Business Forum at Aldborough
A feasibility study has been carried out to establish whether a centre catering for the Arts and Business needs of the wider community can be established at Aldborough.
Group 4 - Improving the Offer
This is joint intiative with the Knaresborough Town Team. An application has been sent to Yorkshire Forward.
It includes:
- Property Improvement Grant Scheme in Knaresborough and Boroughbridge
- Welcome to Excellence courses in both towns
- The Cattle Market/Pickles Site development brief in Knaresborough
- Improvements at Knaresborough Riverside
- Improvements at St James Square, Boroughbridge
To date 3 Courses have been organised. These are being held at Conyngham Hall in Knaresborough.

Group 5 - Youth
Yore Vision is working with a group of interested people to improve facilities for young people in Boroughbridge and district.
Great Ouseburn Viilage Hall
This project is receiving funding from the Rural Target Fund. The aim is to improve the facilities at the Village Hall. Plans are well advanced and it hoped building will start in the near future.
