We are the champions
(Bronze Award)
Yesterday, at an award ceremony in York, the Boroughbridge and District Green Energy Challenge team received the Bronze Award - and an IOU towards funding future projects!!!!
For the last six months a team of local people has been monitoring their energy use - trying to reduce their carbon footprints as part of a North Yorkshire Challenge. There has also been a series of talks and demonstrations on different energy and recycling topics.
The work will continue - more details will be shown here
The ISABEL PROJECT

It's fascinating! Three groups are learning new skills and starting to record information on video and sound recorders to tell local stories. At the end of the project we will be having a presentation of all the work (date to be arranged).
Trainees will gain a certificate and press pass at the end of the course

Things ARE progressing!
The two schemes are making progress. The pilot project based on Great Ouseburn under the NYCC NYNET plans and the other a commercial project being offered by NextGenUs in the Newby
