Aldborough Museum Meeting
Village Hall, April 2
Friends of Aldborough Museum
(Aldborough Museum)
There have now been two meetings in Aldborough Village Hall to discuss setting up a 'Friends' organisation to work alongside English Heritage on the development and promotion of the existing museum site.
At the meeting on April 2 it was agreed to adopt the name 'Friends of Roman Aldborough' to reflect the importance of Aldborough as a civilian town, probably the most northerly in the Roman Empire. The museum is to be the first project for the group. There all sorts of interesting ideas – more of this later.
One immediate need is a logo for the group. If you would like to design one please send it to the address below.
A steering group has been established to set up and run the group for the first year.
